Ein Quantum Zukunft – Book Project

Ein Quantum Zukunft – Quantenphysik und Quantentechnologien einfach erklärt is a popular science book co-authored by Johannes Knörzer and me, published at Springer in 2025. The book provides an accessible introduction to the foundations of quantum physics and explores the rapidly evolving field of quantum technologies.

Aimed at a broad audience, the book deliberately avoids heavy mathematical formalism and instead uses intuitive explanations and illustrations to guide readers through key concepts. After introducing the necessary basics in quantum mechanics, the book covers the four central pillars of modern quantum technologies — quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum communication, and quantum metrology — and discusses both their transformative potential and the challenges they pose.
