The Quantum Guide

The Quantum Guide – Making Quantum Technologies Accessible

The Quantum Guide is an online science communication project aimed at making quantum physics and the rapidly developing field of quantum technologies accessible to a broad audience. Drawing on our experience in research and teaching, we created this platform to provide clear, structured, and intuitive explanations of key concepts—without requiring advanced mathematical background.

Rather than following the format of a traditional textbook, Quantum Guide is designed as a growing collection of concise, interconnected notes. Readers can explore topics at their own pace, moving from foundational principles to modern applications such as quantum computing, communication, and sensing. Our goal is to lower the barrier to enter the field and offer a reliable guide through a field that is often perceived as complex and abstract.

The project complements my broader science communication efforts as in the book [Ein Quantum Zukunft][/projects/a_quantum_future]. While the book presents a coherent, narrative introduction, the Quantum Guide serves as a flexible and continuously evolving resource, allowing readers to dive deeper into individual topics and stay up to date with current developments.

Quantum Guide is written in English and is intended for an international audience. We continue to expand and refine the content, with the aim of building a comprehensive and accessible entry point into the world of quantum science and technology.
